The Department of Veteran Services has a new portal to connect our service members, veterans, and family members to resources like yours. We would deeply appreciate your continued support of our Virginia Veterans and DVS by becoming part of the Virginia Veteran Network.

The Virginia Veteran Network (VVN) primary goal is to deliver a statewide portal connecting veterans to federal, state, local, and community resources. At DVS we empower individuals within the military ecosystem through cutting-edge technology. We provide veterans and their families with comprehensive knowledge, expert guidance, and self-assurance, enabling them to take decisive actions that enhance every aspect of military and veteran life. Therefore, it is our responsibility to the service members, veterans, and family members, of the Commonwealth of Virginia, that we conduct a thorough background check of the organization history and ability to meet the needs of our clients.

This service is free to both our client base and your organization.

DVS Expectations of Member Organizations:

• Member organizations will approach their work with the mindset that no veteran or military family will go unnoticed or unserved.

• Member organizations will connect with veterans and military families requesting services within 72 hours.

• Member organizations will attempt to connect three times by phone or email.

• Member organizations are committed to fiscal and governance transparency.

• Member organizations will actively participate in collaborative efforts.

• Member organizations will direct clients to supplementary service providers when their needs extend beyond the organization’s capabilities.
